Buy Local Coalition members took part in the 80’s themed Easterseals Office Olympix Fundraiser on Thursday, April 19th at Wisehaven Event Center. Coalition members, Print-O-Stat, Treysta Technology Management and Orrstown Bank competed alongside 13 other teams, in fun team-building activities, while helping to raise a collective twenty-two thousand dollars for individuals served by Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania – York Division. Other Buy Local Coalition members contributed to the event by donating their time. Rob Myers and Adam McCallister from McCallister & Myers Realty emceed the event. MaryRose Ritter from Leadership Arts Associates served on the planning committee, and York Revolution hosted the main event game. Old Republic Distillery and Furniture Finesse donated items for the raffles. “It’s great to see so many Buy Local Coalition members coming together to support individuals with disabilities and military families in our community” states Jessica Montour, Easterseals Development Specialist.
Prizes were awarded to top competitive and fundraising teams. The top fundraising team prize was awarded to the Print-O-Stat & Buchart Horn Team, who raised $2,875. Orrstown Bank came in second place, raising $1500. Both teams competed in the main event game, hosted by York Revolution. A highlight of the night included a costume contest, judged by a panel of ambassadors, who participate in services provided by Easterseals.
