Pumpkin Wine Dances on the Shelves

Orrtanna, PA. Adams County Winery announced their newest wine released for 2015. Dancing Pumpkin wine was released today for the start of the fall season. Dancing Pumpkin is a sweet Vidal blend, infused with pumpkin and spice. “The scents and tastes of this wine are like fall in a bottle”’ stated Katherine Bigler, owner. “We think this is going to be a great addition to our seasonal wines and will complement the upcoming events slated for the fall season at the winery”.

The name Dancing Pumpkin evolved because the winery wanted a fun label to follow the theme created by the Laughing Peach label. Many equate the fall season with pumpkins and carved pumpkins are said to have light dance within them, hence the name for this seasonal wine was born.

Earlier in 2015, Adams County Winery released four seasonal wines for spring and summer. This will make the fifth new wine release of 2015. “It is the goal of the winery to try to bring to production the wines we think our guests will enjoy and it is our thought Dancing Pumpkin will be the hit of the fall season”, stated Katie Martin, project manager.

With the addition of this seasonal, limited production wine, Adams County Winery now boasts 24 different wines in their lineup, with something for everyone. The new sweet, light and spicy Dancing Pumpkin wine is available at all Adams County Winery locations. It will also be available for purchase at National Apple Harvest Festival this weekend.

Adams County Winery first began operations in 1975. The Winery and Vineyard, located just eight miles west of Gettysburg, PA, is in a picturesque 19th century bank barn and enjoys an ideal climate for growing grapes that, in turn, results in quality wines. The winery is celebrating their 40th Anniversary this season. Katherine Bigler and husband John Kramb purchased Adams County Winery in the summer of 1998. Since 2000, the winery has garnered more than 140 major national and international competition awards.
